Description : At the top of the Montagne du Roule, 117 meters above the sea,you will have the most beautiful view on the harbour from the fort which was built during the 2nd Empire era. The fort now houses a museum founded in 1954 and renovated in 1994.
This museum was the first on the subject of the Liberation event. April 2005 commemorates the 60th Anniversary of the Liberation. Thus the museum renewed the exhibition dedicated to the D-Day events by means of pedagogical staged visit. Opening :
From October 1st to April 30th : Wednesday to Sunday 2 p.m to 6 p.m
From May 1st to September 30th : Everyday 10 a.m - 12 and 2 p.m - 6 p.m (except on monday morning and sunday morning)
